It would be better if the detailed airflow graph would show the "mass air flow rate" and thus the user can confirm whether real air volume was expelled from the air valve to the atmosphere or not.

The current situation in which we watch "momentary air flow" is confusing. not only for vacuum breakers but also for the rest of air valves types. Triple orifice, double orifice etc..
