As it stands today, neither SewerGEMS or WaterCAD have any useful keyboard shortcuts or keyboard control, besides pressing Enter or Escape.

Some ideas:

1. Control the viewport with WASD keys

   Using the program you have a LOT of mouse movement, especially if you're laying customer meters. Your hand hurts after a while, being able to move the viewport without using the mouse could prove to be very beneficial for people designing using the software.

2. Properties Menu

   1. Ctrl + F to search and filter properties quickly

   2. tab + alt/shift tab to browse propeties with the keyboard

   3. Ctrl +E/Q/Whatever to go between nodes/links upstream downstream to quickly edit a specific property

3. Picking between Manholes/Links/Property Connections and so on

   Technically you can do this today with ribbon shortcuts but those are long and hard to memorize. Can be solved by custom shortcuts.
