The SewerGEMS development currently has no module, function or option to simplify the sewer network model. Such a tool is present implemented in the WaterGEMS software. It is clear that simplification on the sewer network may be more difficult to perform, however, the implementation of any tool to support model simplification in SewerGEMS software seems necessary.

Suggestion: Implement tools (even the simplest) to support skeletonization of sewer networks.

In the attachment, an example approach (one of the simplest, it seems) in model skeletonization based on changing the locations of the addition of sub-catchment outlets and sanitary inflows (combined sewer network) and excluding part of the network. Of course, it would be necessary to delay the runoff accordingly.
